About
Monique started in construction when she was 12 years old. Her first job was hand nailing hurricane straps to rafters - that was how her father taught her to use a hammer. From then on, she spent every school break on her father’s job sites as he assigned miscellaneous tasks - sweeping floors, putting joist hangers on deck joists, framing, digging sonotubes, mixing concrete, hanging blue board etc. It was through these experiences where she learned what it meant to take pride in your work. Her father - a general contractor and home builder for over 30 years - always goes the extra mile to make a house last a lifetime (and beyond).
Monique's Story
Throughout college, Monique gained experience in commercial construction where she was involved in projects ranging from $30 million to $1.3 billion dollars. She reviewed large volumes of submittals, shop drawings and RFI’s. Working closely with company leadership, she led meetings by emphasizing items relevant for project completion and holding parties accountable for schedule delays. By her sophomore year of college, she had obtained her Unrestricted Construction Supervisors License. Upon graduating, she briefly worked for Suffolk Construction as a Career Start/Project Engineer. Through this experience she realized that the corporate setting was not the right fit, and returned to her true passion of home building. She spent the next few years sharpening her skills in a supervisory role at her father’s company - Kachadoorian Construction.
In 2023 - she started Kach Builds LLC.
Many years of hard work allowed her to take part in every aspect of the construction process. If you decide to work with Monique, you will have access to two generations of building knowledge and experience. She prides herself on being down to earth, accessible to clients and on site every day. This is how she manages her jobs.
